Here are a few steps to help you from being a victim of fraud, scammers and thieves. 1) If it is too good to be true, it probably is... 2) Never wire money via Western Union, Money Gram, or any other wire service. Especially overseas... 3) Best to do business locally, in person. Do not rent an apartment without seeing it in person. Celtic Realty never posts addresses of apartments, and generally we meet at our office. 4) Beware of advertisements with too many spelling errors, incomplete and or strange sentence structure. Scammer terms like Missonary, Embassy, Charity Foundation, beneficiary, and travelling abroad, among other words. |
